Born and raised in Oakland, California, I am a Bay Area girl through and through. I graduated from the University of San Francisco with my BS in 2001 and MS in 2005. I love the energy of USF. The people, the campus, and the passion for others captured my heart, and I've never let go. The conversations I've had (over a great meal in in the city), have brought me to tears through laughter while also inspiring me to serve others.

Arnoldo Valdivieso-Martinez

I'm originally from Mexico but have called the Bay Area my home for most of my life. When I'm not traveling to and from Disneyland, you can catch me exploring all the different coffee shops and restaurants the city has to offer, one run or bike ride at a time. Lastly, I'm proud to say that I'm on my way to becoming a Double Don (graduating with two degrees from USF)!

I grew up in Mississippi and attended college here in the Bay Area. Once I arrived, I never left. My favorite thing about San Francisco is the overwhelmingly eclectic food scene. I also still love taking the ferry between San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area—it's one of the best ways to see the Bay!

Stephanie Ortiz-Garcia

I'm originally from southeast Los Angeles, moved to San Francisco to attend USF (Class of 2016!), and became a Double Don by completing my master's degree at USF. USF is special because it offered me a place where I could learn more about social justice through the Jesuit lens and integrate it within my social, academic, and professional goals. My favorite restaurant in the city with the best burritos and tacos is El Farolito on 24th and Mission, which I recommend if you are ever in town.
