Meet USF’s 29th President
Salvador D. Aceves '83, EdD '95 is the university’s first lay president and first Latino president.
To say this is a homecoming for Salvador may be an understatement. He was born and raised in San Francisco, he earned an undergraduate and one of his graduate degrees from USF, and he held senior leadership positions at USF for more than 10 years, in addition to faculty positions in both the School of Management and the School of Law.”

I have known Salvador for over 30 years. He is the right person at this opportune moment to lead USF forward while focusing on academic excellence and financial sustainability.”

I believe that we have found a mission-driven, academically centered, and fiscally minded leader in Salvador Aceves, who also cares deeply for all people in the university community. His leadership will continue to position USF as a destination where students are educated and inspired to become positive change agents for the future.”
