SII and the Core Curriculum

SII is compatible with any major area of study. SII students take at least two required core classes in SII-specific sections, which are smaller and more-discussion based than their non-SII equivalents.

Students fulfill their Philosophy (D1), Theology/Religious Studies (D2), and Ethics (D3) in the USF core curriculum requirements through SII-specific classes. Students may choose from several options, including:

    • SII 210 Ancient Philosophy
    • SII 220 Modern Philosophy
    • SII 203 Religion and Culture in Late Antiquity
    • SII 290 Catholic Social Thought
    • SII 106 Sacred Scripture
    • SII 201 Catholic Thought
    • SII 214 Theories of Ethics
    • SII 215 Ethical Theory and Practice
