Suzanne Mawhinney, JD, MLIS
Director of Zief Law Library and Assistant Professor of Legal Practice
Professor Mawhinney has been a librarian at USF since 2010 and was named interim director of the Zief Law Library in summer 2021 and Director in February 2023. In addition to overseeing all aspects of library operations, she provides research support to students and faculty, teaches legal research to first-year students, and Advanced California Legal Research to upper-division students. Before becoming a law librarian, she practiced labor and employment litigation in California, where she maintains admission to practice law.

Assistant Director of Finance and Head of Collection Services
Supervises cataloging, serials, acquisitions, binding, preservation, the access desk, and the coordination of information technology to ensure that the library has the information resources that the law school needs, and that they are organized so that users may easily retrieve them.
