San Francisco is more than a breathtaking backdrop for our campus; it’s an essential element. Ours is a 47-square mile classroom that takes full advantage of every personal and professional opportunity a world-class city provides.
Internships & Externships
From city halls to national parks, small start-ups to established nonprofits, internship and externship opportunities transform the San Francisco Bay Area into the ultimate learning laboratory.
Service learning courses — a requirement for all USF undergraduate students— are a form of experiential education that promotes learning and development through activities that address human and community needs around the world. The Service Learning requirement will transform to Community Engaged Learning beginning Fall 2019. Courses taken with the Service Learning designation will always fulfill the new Community Engaged Learning requirement. Service learning courses, however, will only be offered in the USF curriculum until spring 2022, when the transition to Community Engaged Learning will be complete.
