Tina Duong attended the AACN Policy Summit in Washington, D.C. with six other USF students. She said it was one of the most meaningful experiences of her nursing journey so far.

Commencement weekend begins May 21 with a Mass for graduates and families, and the celebration continues through May 23 as students in each of USF’s five schools graduate this spring.

Director of the USF International Human Rights Clinic, Professor Lindsay Harris, spoke about the kafala system: "This is really a story about what happens to workers' bodies when employers have total control and zero accountability."

For Daniela Bazán ’06, MS ’18, leaving her childhood home of Napa Valley for college initially felt like a big leap, but moving south across the Golden Gate was just the beginning. Bazán springboarded her USF education into experiences abroad — experiences which eventually helped deepen her roots, strengthen her legacy, and mold community contributions back where it all began. 

Starting in summer 2026, USF is offering a new, exciting program for aspiring fiction and nonfiction writers for young readers. The program’s director and its philanthropic supporters shared what makes the program impactful and necessary.
