TYPES OF AID

Tuition Exchange/FACHEX

If your parent is a faculty or staff member at participating colleges or universities, you are eligible to apply for full-tuition scholarships through the Tuition Exchange (TE) or the Faculty and Staff Children Exchange Program (FACHEX) programs. Both programs are highly competitive.

To be considered, you must apply to USF by the application deadlines. Learn more about USF’s participation in the TE/FACHEX program or contact Daniel Tayakin at dtayakin@usfca.edu for more details.

Tuition Exchange

TE awards cover the cost of tuition or the annual set rate ($40,000 for 2022–23) for full-time undergraduate students. Your parent must be a faculty or staff member at any of the 670+ participating institutions. Contact the TE Liason Officer at your institution for more details.

FACHEX

The majority of U.S. Jesuit colleges and universities participate in the FACHEX program. FACHEX awards cover the cost of tuition for children of faculty and staff at the participating institutions. Contact the FACHEX administrator at your institution for more details.

USF Faculty & Staff

If your family member is admitted to USF, they are eligible for tuition remission.

Tuition remission is a waiver of tuition and is available to employees and their eligible family members who qualify and are admitted for enrollment at USF. Employees, spouses, Registered Domestic Partners (RDPs) and IRS tax dependent children are eligible for 100% tuition remission when they meet specific eligibility requirements.
