Biography

Laurie Hall is a Visiting Professor of Legal Writing at the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she also serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching American Legal Studies for foreign LLM students.

In her law practice at Synthesis Law, Hall focuses on intellectual property matters and advertising and marketing support. Before founding Synthesis Law, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel at The Wine Group, handling intellectual property, advertising/marketing, and corporate matters. She began her career as an IP litigator at Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP (now Kilpatrick Stockton) and later became a partner at the international law firm Duane Morris LLP.

Hall received her BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Hall previously taught Intro to Law at UC Law San Francisco's MLS program and U.S. Trademark Law at Golden Gate University School of Law.
