
Asia Bridge Junior Fellowship
The Center for Asia Pacific Studies invites current USF undergraduate students from all disciplines to apply for the Asia Bridge Junior Fellows Program. Fellows will explore important historical and contemporary issues in the Asia Pacific region while developing research, writing, and presentation skills. Over the academic year, fellows will receive expert guidance, gain hands-on experience organizing an on-campus event, and join a vibrant community of scholars passionate about Asia.

Asia Bridge Junior Fellow
Research projects may focus on one of the center’s five main areas of concentration (China, Japan, Korea, India, or the Philippines) or other regions of the Asia Pacific. Fellows will produce a substantive research paper and have opportunities to present their findings in academic settings, building a strong foundation for future study or professional work.
- To be eligible, applicants must be current USF undergraduates entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year.
- Fellows who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 cash award.
- Up to five fellows will be selected annually.
Fellows will meet in person every other Tuesday, 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., on the Hilltop campus.

- Participate in workshops on research methods, academic writing, and public speaking
- Receive mentorship from scholars in Asia Pacific Studies
- Produce a polished 12-15 page paper suitable for graduate school or job applications
- Connect with like-minded peers and scholars through community-building events
- Gain practical experience planning and managing a center event
- Receive a $500 award upon successful completion of all program requirements

The application period opens the first day of the fall semester.
