Let us guide you through the process of making a gift to USF. There are many ways to support the university, and whether you are interested in giving online, making a gift of stock to USF or exploring other options, we have the information you need here.
Many of our alumni and friends have invested in USF's future by making a gift through their wills or other long-term financial plans. We can help you plan a gift with tax benefits uniquely tailored to your financial plans. More information
USF has partnered with GiveCampus, a social fundraising platform, to crowdsource support for the many programs at USF. Make a gift

Each year, we celebrate Day of the Dons at the University of San Francisco. It's our day to work together and give back to the university. Day of the Dons is a 24-hour online fundraising drive that is a fun way for alumni, parents, staff and faculty to support USF and make an impact for students today. Your gift — and all gifts — matter. And thanks to special bonus challenges, gifts that day have a bigger impact. Anyone can participate, and we encourage you to spread the word by encouraging others to visit USF Day of the Dons online.
If you’ve already benefited from the immediate tax deductions offered by donor-advised funds, please know that USF is an IRS-qualified public charity and is thus eligible to receive contributions from your gift fund. Please follow the instructions provided by your fund regarding minimum contribution, the process for recommending grants, and other considerations. Checks should be made payable to the University of San Francisco and mailed to:

Are you 70 1/2 years of age or older? If so the IRA Charitable Rollover is a tax-smart and increasingly popular way of supporting USF. This permanent provision of the tax code allows you to transfer all or a portion of required minimum distribution (RMD) directly to USF. A charitable rollover of IRA funds to USF will not count as taxable income in the year you make your gift, which may keep you in a lower tax bracket. Your gift to USF counts toward your RMD. And you save taxes whether you claim the standard deduction or itemize. More information

Please indicate specific designations on the check’s memo line or in a cover letter.
When you make a gift to USF that is matched by your employer, it doubles the impact of your gift. Three simple steps help ensure your donation qualifies for a match:
First, make sure your employer offers matching gifts and be aware of any restrictions by checking with your employer's Human Resources staff.
Second, if your employer requires a written form, complete it and send it with your gift to USF c/o Michael Pasqua, Director, USF Development Services, First Floor, Lone Mountain Rossi Wing, University of San Francisco, 2130 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94117.
Lastly, make sure the amount and designation of your gift qualify for matching. Some gifts, like donations to athletic programs or gifts that yield tangible benefits to the donor, are not eligible. We are happy to answer your questions. Please call Ricah DeLeon at (415) 422-6569.

Call (415) 422-6638 to make a one-time donation or to set up a recurring gift on your credit card. A recurring gift can increase the impact of your donation by allowing you to make a more significant gift over time. Recurring credit card gifts are available in any amount and on whatever schedule is most convenient for you.
Giving publicly traded securities to USF is an easy, tax-savvy way to support Jesuit higher education. When you give stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares that you have held for a year or longer, the IRS allows you to make your gift without recognizing capital gains on the appreciation. For more information, call (415) 422-4163 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 1: Please notify the Office of Gift Planning directly when you are ready to make a gift of securities to USF. We need to know the name of the stock or mutual fund shares you intend to contribute, the approximate value, and your intended gift purpose. If we don't know you're planning to transfer shares to USF, your gift will be held in escrow until we can identify you as the donor.
Step 2: Authorize your broker or financial agent to transfer shares to USF's brokerage account at UBS. Transfer shares via DTC into the University of San Francisco account at UBS Financial Services. DTC number is 221. USF account number is KP-33598-60. Tax ID number is 94-1156228.
Donors who hold shares in a Charles Schwab account can transfer shares from their account directly to USF's account at Schwab. USF Schwab account number is: 8992-3715. Account name is: University of San Francisco. Account mailing address is: 2130 Fulton St., LMN #300, San Francisco, CA 94117-1080.
