Add these things to your list.

  1. Jitterbug to your heart’s content (five-minute bike ride). Check out “Lindy in the Park” swing dancing in Golden Gate Park at noon on Sundays (enter the park at Fulton Street and Eighth Avenue).
  2. Join the skate party (four-minute bike ride). You’ll need roller skates or inline skates to join, or come to watch the boogie fest with music by DJ Godfather of Skate at Skatin' Place,  Sixth Avenue and JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park.
  3. Step up to the stage (seven-minute bike ride). Cafe International on Haight Street has open mic Friday evenings for poetry, music, even juggling. Sunday afternoon is for live jazz.
  4. Mellow out with live music (five-minute bike ride). The Mellow Haight on Haight Street is a houseplant shop with a cafe that holds intimate concerts on the second floor.
  5. Shop for fresh food (six-minute bike ride). Head over to Clement Street Farmers Market between Third and Fourth Avenues for fruits, veggies, and baked goodies on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
