Membership Types & Fees

Daily Use Annual Pass

Public use is permitted during all hours of operation. Member eligible patrons may access the Koret Center during all hours of operation upon payment of appropriate fees.

A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of entry to the facility (e.g., driver's license, passport, government identification). Annual Passes and drop-in fees are valid for one entry only. No in-and-out privileges. Annual Pass access and sale are subject to change without notice. Individuals 17 years of age and younger are not eligible to purchase an annual pass.

Annual 15-use Pass Fees

  • 15-use Outside Annual Pass: $95 (time restricted)
  • 15-use Disabled or Senior Outside Annual Pass: $53 (time restricted)
  • 15-use Neighborhood Annual Pass*: $105 (no time restrictions)
  • 15-use Disabled or Senior Neighborhood Annual Pass*: $60 (no time restrictions)

*Outside Annual Passes are available for general public and member eligible categories *(expires one year from date of purchase and maximum of 45 uses per pass category)*. Outside Annual Pass for the general public allows access until 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and during all hours of operation on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

*Neighborhood Annual Passes are restricted to residents in the area surrounding the KHRC (Lyon, 3rd, California, and Haight streets). Proof of address (in the form of a current utility/personal bill with the applicant’s name on it) must be submitted to qualify. Front Desk staff can only approve current PG&E, internet/cable, water, trash, home/cell phone, bank statement, and or credit card bills (*May be printed or online statement that can be presented through your smart phone). Please contact the membership director at (415) 422-2943 if the applicant is unable to provide any type of utility/personal bill listed above.

*All annual passes expire one year from the date of purchase and can only carry a maximum of 45 active uses per pass category. 

If your discount pass is lost or stolen, you must replace your pass for a $10 replacement fee. Because we do not keep your documents on file, you are required to show your documentation when you purchase your replacement pass.

As the Koret facility is not a rehabilitation facility, we cannot permit private attendants to accompany individual guests.

Neighborhood memberships are available on an annual and monthly basis. Fees must be paid in full at the time of enrollment. Checks, Mastercard, VISA, American Express, and Discover are accepted. New members will receive cards to identify them as Koret Center members. USF/Koret ID card must be carried and shown upon request at all times.

To complete the process, an application and waiver must be completed at the Koret Center along with a valid photo ID. Your membership card will then be issued for access.

  • Individual: $725/year or $90/month
  • Child (17 years of age and younger): $350/year

Alumni Memberships

Alumni memberships are available on an annual and monthly basis. Fees must be paid in full at the time of enrollment. Checks, Mastercard, VISA, American Express, and Discover are accepted. Alumni without a Koret ID must create a new account first. The front desk staff will not be able to process any in-person pass/membership sales and renewals. USF/Koret ID card must be carried and shown upon request at all times. A non-graduate is a former student who has completed 15 or more units. You may contact KHRC@usfca.du to confirm eligibility.

Alumni Fees

  • Alumni: $725/year or $75/month
  • Spouse: $725/year or $75/month
  • Child (17 years of age and younger): $350/year
  • 15-use Alumni Annual Pass: $105
  • 15-use Alumni Senior/Disabled Annual Pass: $60

Permanent Disability Discount

If you are an individual with a permanent disability, you may be eligible to obtain a discount on your 15-use Pass. Please contact jtao@usfca.edu to confirm eligibility. 

Eligible Documentation

  • A Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) placard computer printout ID card, plus a valid photo ID such as a California Driver's License, California Identification Cards, passport, or alien registration card; or
  • Valid registration for a permanent disabled license plate, plus a valid photo ID, as described above; or
  • Current San Francisco MUNI Discount Pass or a valid transit discount card issued by a California transit agency, plus a valid photo ID, as described above; or
  • SSI (Social Security) or State Disability certification of permanent disability, plus a valid photo ID, as described above. You are required to show your documentation each time you purchase your pass.

Special Affiliates

Special Affiliates include all SFPD, SFFD, St. Mary's, and San Francisco EMTs. A valid badge and photo ID are required. Please contact jtao@usfca.edu to confirm eligibility.

USF Community Members

USF students, faculty, and staff will not need to create an ActiveNet account, as your account has already been set up. Please follow the instructions listed on myUSF to login.

Students

Students Enrolled in On-Campus Classes

All USF students who are currently registered for on-campus classes are eligible to use the Koret Center by presenting their USF ID at the front desk.

Summer Session

A facility use fee of $37 per month must be paid by continuing students who are not enrolled in on-campus summer classes. Payment of the appropriate fee at the Koret Center is required for summer access. Continuing students are eligible for the student rates until the start of the fall semester.

Students Enrolled in Special Programs

A facility use fee may be required by students enrolled in special programs. Please contact the Membership Director at (415) 422-2943 for details. Fees are based on current access fees. Student rates apply.

Faculty & Staff

Full-time Faculty and Staff

Full-time Faculty and Staff may access Koret free of charge by presenting their current USF ID or USF Mobile Onecard to the Front Desk.

Adjunct Faculty and Part-time Staff

Adjunct Faculty and Part-time Staff annual memberships are available for purchase to enter the Koret Center. Please contact the Membership Director at (415) 422-2943 for more information 

Spouse and Dependents

Additional Services

Towel Service

Towel service is not available at this time (updated 8/29/21).

Shower Towels

You must be a part of the USF community or be a Koret member in order to check out a shower towel. They can be checked out at the Equipment Desk and must be returned to be checked back in. If you forget to check a towel back in, there will be a $10 administrative fee attached to your account.

Gym Towels

These are much smaller in size and more convenient to use while working out. They can be picked up from the Equipment Desk without checking them out. They can be returned to the Equipment Desk or dropped in any one of eight locations around the facility.

Locker Service

Day Use

Day use lockers are available for free for Koret patrons. Lockers must be cleared before leaving the building. Unauthorized overnight use of lockers is subject to removal of contents ($25 retrieval fee applies). You may bring your own locks or purchase a lock at the Koret Front Desk. 

Monthly Use

Locker Reservations are temporarily unavailable (updated 8/29/21).

All USF community members and Koret members are eligible to sign up for a Locker Reservation at the Equipment Desk. You can reserve a locker at a monthly rate for up to 12 months at a time.
