Campus Life

Classes kick off, alongside city games and excursions

USF roared back to life as students descended on campus for Move-In Day on Aug. 18.

Once the beds were made and boxes unpacked, students hopped straight into campus life. USF President Paul J. Fitzgerald, S. J., welcomed new students, who received their class pins at Convocation Mass. Later, at the Sobrato Center, Dons enjoyed Drag Show Bingo — a game night hosted by Shangela, a star of the popular television show RuPaul’s Drag Race.

This week and next, campus organizations are holding events and hosting excursions for new and returning students. Activities range from the Dons Night Out concert and USF soccer matches, to trips to Alcatraz, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and a San Francisco Giants game.
