Friends Give Big to USF on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a national event that encourages philanthropy and giving back every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. On November 29, 2022, USF surpassed its goal.

Giving Tuesday inspired many friends of USF around the world to show their appreciation and gratitude. The University of San Francisco community, as always, showed great generosity by raising over $45,000 to support USF.

“We are so moved with how our donors continue to give back to the USF community. Donor support allows our students to access a world class Jesuit education and gives them the tools to succeed and thrive,” said Lindsey McClenahan, vice president of Development.

This year, our Women in Leadership & Philanthropy Impact Breakfast took place on Giving Tuesday, where guests engaged in the global day of giving by donating to either Women in Leadership & Philanthropy, the International Student Ambassador Program, or the Universal Access Scholarship.

“We saw great generosity this Giving Tuesday during our fourth annual Impact Breakfast. The speakers and guests who are a part of Women in Leadership & Philanthropy not only inspire USF students, but give back to support their education and future.” said Cheryl Vargas, director of Women in Leadership & Philanthropy.

The USF community’s financial support goes toward scholarships, student experiences, and programs. With the donation of any dollar amount, you are not only improving the quality of life and education for existing students, but providing new opportunities for incoming students.

If you were unable to donate on Giving Tuesday, it’s not too late to join in on the giving season and make your gift now.
