Im{print}ed: the 17th Thacher Art + Architecture Annual
May 6 – June 30, 2016
Im{print}ed is a juried exhibition of juniors and seniors from the University of San Francisco’s Department of Art + Architecture and is presented by students enrolled in the Art History/Arts Management Thacher Practicum course. The over 60 artworks were selected by a jury of four artists and arts professionals, including: Marlena Cannon de Mendez, Amanda Hughen, Delaney Kennedy (’13) and Geri Montano.
Student curators write, “This year’s title, Im{print}ed, relays the lasting effect the surrounding world has on us and the imprint this influence makes on our imaginations and the art we create.”

Announcing the Thacher 2016-2017 Season
The Thacher Gallery is pleased to announce that next year’s exhibitions will feature: new work exploring identity by Bay Area artist Jamil Hellu; “The Depravities of War” series by Sandow Birk as well as the source prints by Jacques Callot (1592-1635); the faculty in the Department of Art + Architecture and junior and senior art and architecture students in the 18th Thacher Annual.
