Black Faith in the Bay Series visits Allen Temple Baptist Church, Feb. 1, leaving Toler Residence Hall at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will follow the visit to the Oakland church.

Black History Month Faculty Flash Talks, Feb. 17, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Getty Lounge. The African American Studies minor showcases the work of Black faculty across the university through a series of 10-minute presentations ("flash talks").
Cheryl Derricotte: Ancestral Nights, Diasporic Days; Blackness in Contemporary Art Practice, Feb. 18, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Berman Room, Fromm Hall. Artist Cheryl Derricotte talks about how she weaves stories about the Black diaspora out of glass, paper, textiles, and public art.
Chats & Clips of Black Love, Feb. 19, 5:30 to 7 p.m., UC 411/412. Interns with the Black Achievement Success and Engagement (BASE) program lead an informal discussion on what Black love means.
Tabling at Black Joy Parade in Oakland, Feb. 22, 12:30 to 6 p.m., Downtown Oakland. Connect with USF community members and meet up with the USF Black Alumni Society, which will have a booth at the parade and give out swag and information about USF. Volunteer registration

Clip, Cut, Connect, Feb. 23, 3 to 6 p.m., Intercultural Center, UC 412. This on-campus program offers free, culturally responsive haircuts to USF students while creating a welcoming space for BIPOC students to talk about mental health and build community connection.
Black Card Revoked: Trivia Night, Feb. 24, 6:30 p.m., Koret Lodge. Test your knowledge of Black history, culture, and iconic moments in a lively and interactive setting. Open to faculty, staff, and alumni.
Green Light at Midnight, Feb. 27, 5 to 8 p.m., Koret Lodge. The Eta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority highlights Black artists, Black joy, and the legacy of Black art in San Francisco.
Thrive & Rise: A Wellness Celebration, Feb. 27, 3 to 7 p.m., University Center, UC1, Atrium. This Wellness Day centers rest, movement, and collective care during Black History Month, recognizing that wellness is an essential part of sustaining excellence, leadership, and long-term impact.
