Reunion Joins Classmates

Dean Jeffrey Brand greeted graduates and congratulated them on their accomplishments.

“The truth is, who we are as a law school is because of who you are as lawyers. Your successes have built a reputation for our law school that we are so proud of and inspires us to this day,” he said. “I hope that there’s a piece of you that also thanks the law school for what we were able to give to you. I’d like to think that we were instrumental in making your lives fulfilling in the ways that they have been.”

In addition to dinner, live music, and dancing, the event included individual receptions for graduates of the same decade.

Classmates reflected on some of their best-loved law school memories. Thomas Lytle ’61 said one of his favorite memories was former Dean Francis Walsh; David Burnett ’86 remembered how he and fellow students went to a Giants game at Candlestick Park after the first week of classes; and Mattie Scott ’76 recalled some of her most fulfilling classes and professors.
