Mayoral Forum Tackles Need for Greater Economic Inclusion

by Ed Carpenter, Office of Marketing Communications

USF will host San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, Kaiser Permanente CEO Bernard J. Tyson, and other city leaders on March 7 in a first-of-its-kind forum exploring how to connect more low-income families with San Francisco’s economic prosperity.

From health care to venture capital

The half-day symposium will highlight innovative programs and feature a panel discussion with leaders in health care, venture capital, technology, and manufacturing who have made the connection. There will be breakout sessions on workforce trends, inspiring a new generation of diverse leaders, and opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Diversity, innovation, and jobs

The Mayoral Community Stakeholder Forum: Diversity, Innovation, and Jobs of the Future is the first in a series of forums about the challenges facing San Francisco that will be held throughout the city before the end of the year.
