Zen & Calligraphy

This workshop introduces participants to the theory and practice of zazen (Zen seated meditation) and the significance of calligraphy for Zen training. This event will be participatory: in addition to zazen and calligraphy, we will experiment with other Zen training methods, including walking meditation, vocalization exercises, and tai chi. Instructors: Gina Ewing and Geoff Ashton (Professor of Asian Philosophy, University of San Francisco). What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, water bottle, and 3-4 towels (for setting your meditation cushion). Lunch will be provided!
