Professor Sean Walsh from the University of Minnesota, Duluth will be presenting on the Virtue Ethics of Aristotle and Confucius have been called too vague to determine right/wrong. I will argue that modern moral theories are also quite vague, and may fare worse on various accounts of vagueness. I also argue that ethical vagueness reveals a major flaw in epistemic accounts of vagueness, since it entails a kind of moral relativism in virtually all major moral theories (e.g., Kant Aristotle and Mill).
