Transcript Policy
All First Time First Year admitted students who accept their offer of admission are required to send final official high school transcripts. The transcript must include the date of graduation and be sent directly from the high school. Official transcripts can be sent by one of the following ways:
- Send Transcripts by Mail: You must order an official transcript from your academic institution which must be sent to us directly in a sealed envelope addressed as follows:
Office of Admission
University of San Francisco
2130 Fulton Street
San Francisco, CA 94117
- If your school offers e-transcripts, they must be sent to appservices@usfca.edu through a third-party service such as Naviance, Parchment, SCOIR, Maia, or National Student Clearinghouse.
- Emailed directly from the school itself to appservices@usfca.edu with a signature on the document. Preferably in a PDF format.
All documents submitted to the Office of Admission become the property of the University of San Francisco. Documents will not be returned, and copies will not be released to students or third parties.
Final transcripts should be sent as soon as coursework and graduation date are recorded on the transcript.
First Time First Year students who do not submit an official final high school transcript by the deadline (October 31st for incoming fall students) will have a hold placed on their file preventing registration for spring courses.
International Transcripts
If a transcript is not in English, an official English translated transcript is required. This transcript must be prepared by the issuing institution or a certified public translator.
We are aware that some international schools issue only one original transcript or degree certificate. If this is the case, please contact the Enrollment Operations Office via email at appservices@usfca.edu to discuss possible solutions.
Homeschool Transcripts
Homeschooled students are still required to submit a final high school transcript. This transcript should be signed by the homeschool supervisor. The homeschool transcript should include title of courses, credits and grades received, and graduation date.
High School Graduation Equivalent
Students receiving a high school equivalent (GED or HiSET) are required to send official scores directly from the testing agencies to USF. Official passing scores for GED or HiSET will meet the final high school transcript requirement. Links to request scores can be found here: GED and HiSET.
