The University of San Francisco is home to a variety of academic and professional honor societies.

Alpha Kappa Delta is an international honor society for sociology majors. It is a democratic organization dedicated to the study of social phenomena for the promotion of human welfare.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the national scholastic honor society in the filed of business administration recognized by the International Association for Management Education (AACSB).

Gamma Gamma Gamma is a nursing honor society whose purpose is to develop the qualities of leadership and responsibility in its members.

Lambda Pi Eta is the communication studies honor society of the National Communication Association.

Phi Alpha Theta is the national history honor society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians.

Phi Delta Kappa is an international professional honor society for men and women in education. Outstanding scholarship and service to the community are hallmarks of its members.

Pi Delta Phi is the French National Honor Society that recognizes outstanding scholarship in the French language and its literatures.

Pi Mu Epsilon is the national math honor society dedicated to enhancing students’ understanding and appreciation of mathematics by emphasizing excellence in scholarship, dissemination of scientific knowledge, the promotion of research, and service to the community.

Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society. Members have demonstrated high standards of scholarship, academic distinction in political science, and outstanding dedication to their university.

Psi Chi Psychology is the national honor society in psychology, which was founded for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, advancing, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and science.

Sigma Delta Pi is the national honor society for students in Spanish studies. Members demonstrate high standards of scholarship and academic distinction in their studies.
