USF students don’t only represent a wide variety of personal experiences and cultural backgrounds. They hail from 50 states and 98 countries. They’re Catholic and Buddhist, from down the coast and across the ocean, young and young at heart, the first in their family to attend college and veterans returning to school. All of this adds up to a community and classrooms strengthened by diverse points of view.

USF was in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 list of top 10 universities for undergraduate student ethnic diversity. But numbers tell only a fraction of the story. Our students don’t simply represent an array of experiences and backgrounds; they are actively engaged in the world — and in changing it.
