MSMI candidates augment their degree by participating in multiple extracurricular professional and career development activities:
- Consulting projects with the Malloy Group, a student-led organization with a roster of impressive clients, including Cisco, Google, GE, Facebook, Airbnb, Salesforce, Gap, and Tesla
- School of Management events such as VR/ AR workshops, the MAPC Speaker Series, Hackathon, and Non-Profit Leadership conferences
- USF workshops providing instruction on career mapping, resume/LinkedIn reviews, mock interviewing, job targeting, salary negotiation, and professional development
- Informal meet-ups in downtown San Francisco regarding marketing analytics, design thinking, and hardware programming
- Attendance at several corporate-sponsored conferences including Techcrunch, Dreamforce, and DataX
