Whether your goal is to launch your own firm, join a venture-backed startup, step into an operator role in a large corporate enterprise, contribute to a social enterprise, or connect your existing business to innovative concepts, the USF MSEI delivers essential theoretical, applied, and experiential learning to help you achieve your objectives.
What’s it Like Inside an Entrepreneurship & Innovation Classroom?
As an entrepreneur, you won’t sit back and absorb learning passively. The MSEI degree demands proactive participation and leadership — you will drive your own learning and prepare yourself for an entrepreneurial career.
You will explore emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and other tools and learn how they are accelerating innovation and product development. You will engage in lectures and team-based interactive projects designed to simulate the entrepreneurial experience. Topics include creativity, applied design, finance and accounting, analytics, law, marketing, and product engineering. In the spring semester, you will complete a 10-week internship, or practicum, in which you will solve a real business problem for a partner company.
When Does the Program Start?
Orientation begins Monday August 18, with classes starting August 25, 2026.
When are Classes Held?
The MSEI program is a full time program with classes and internship work 5 days a week. Some classes may be held in the evening.
