In a conversation with Marsha Rose, she shared experiencing an insecure upbringing. Her experience of being the child of a single mother with addiction problems has undoubtedly impacted her adult life and is the foundation for becoming a nurse.

The Black Educology Mixtape was created by students in the International and Multicultural Education doctoral program after they couldn't find a journal on Black education that speaks from beyond the ivory tower.

At the Involvement Fair in Privett Plaza on Sept. 6, students wandered among tables to see which campus clubs and organizations they might join — and listened as club officers delivered their pitches. 

USF placed No. 2 in the nation for student ethnic diversity, No. 39 in undergraduate nursing, and No. 105 overall.

USF has hired Larry Williams as the school's new athletic director, the university announced Aug. 31.

At USF, we call it "Weeks of Welcome" or WOW. They're the first two weeks of class and they're packed with activities for students.

This summer, in the Equity Scholars Internship program co-sponsored by the McCarthy Center at USF, the Biden Institute at the University of Delaware, and the YMCA of San Francisco, Chavez, four other USF students, and eight students from the University of Delaware worked as teaching assistants in San Francisco public elementary schools.

On August 9, 2022, Professor Callahan testified to the State Legislative Committee at a hearing on "Lessons Learned from COVID-19: Preparing California for the Next Pandemic," chaired by Senator Josh Newman.
