Undergraduate Programs

A career in advertising requires creativity, critical analysis skills, business acumen, and expertise in strategic communications. Our interdisciplinary major and minor empower students to become well-rounded professionals who are prepared to meet the wide-ranging demands of the global marketplace.

The major combines courses in advertising, communication studies, design, computer science, and business; students tailor their courses to reflect their particular career interests. Advertising majors get extensive practical experience creating advertising campaigns through class projects, internships, and competitions.

If your goal is to use your major in design, marketing, computer science, communication studies, history, English, media studies, entrepreneurship or another discipline to work in a communications or business environment, a minor in Advertising will enhance your skills in your major and expand your career opportunities.
