Industry leaders, academics, students, and practitioners gathered at the Seventh-Annual GeoEducation Summit, co-hosted by USF GsAL, to explore the transformative potential of GeoAI.
As part of USF Earth Week and SF Climate Week, an expert panel of speakers explored the multiple dimensions of offshore wind to meet California’s climate goals: energy and policy, community and ecology.
In partnership with GsAL, we showcased how machine learning and data collection are reshaping the fields of sustainability, climate adaptation, and environmental management by enabling more accurate, efficient, and data-driven decision-making processes.
We had the honor of hosting Dr. Joesph Kerski from Esri, the top speaker at our AGU mixer event. He discussed mapping ethics, best practices, and industry.
Alongside USF’s School of Law and Environmental Science program, we discussed recent progress on climate action at the federal, state, and community levels – and discussed next steps in the rapid transformations needed for a healthy climate.

Event Highlights

The Natural Hazards and Sustainable Resource Management event panel will explore the intersection of natural hazards, resource management, and sustainability. Our panelists will share how communities can adapt to risks such as wildfires, floods, and droughts while balancing local needs with global pressures. Drawing on case studies and applied strategies, we will highlight the tools, frameworks, and cross-sector innovations that support resilient resource management in a changing climate.
