Students in the School of Education are changing how mental health is treated in San Francisco.

It all started with a few students who wanted to change the culture of tech. What began as a student organization, founded to create a more inclusive space for collaboration and support in a male-dominated field, has grown into a powerful accelerator for launching tech careers.

Thomas Sweeney ’15 reflects on over a decade in the NBA, including nine seasons with the Golden State Warriors and his current role as Manager of Season Ticket Services for the Chicago Bulls.

The University of San Francisco acquired Star Route Farms, with active agricultural properties in both Marin and Riverside counties, in August of 2017. The continuation of the farm properties’ operations, subsequent academic programming, and the availability of organic food resources for USF students is made possible, in part, by anonymous grants, individual donations, and the generosity of the USF community. Since 2017, faculty and students have expanded and refined experiential learning opportunities — especially after a reset during the pandemic. 

The University of San Francisco School of Law has received a $1.25 million gift from the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF), which has been matched by the Getty Geschke Fund, to establish the Stellar Development Foundation Law, Technology, and Social Transformation Professorship — a new initiative exploring how emerging technologies can advance equity and access in law and policy. Michele Neitz has been appointed by the law school to serve as the first holder of the professorship.
