Meet James Zarsadiaz, USF's first Asian American historian and newest EMDF fellow turned faculty.
The Asian Pacific American Studies minor prepares students to work with an increasingly global and diverse society. Our program emphasizes critical thinking and writing, along with civic engagement, community outreach, and leadership and development.
Loading... is designed to broaden perspectives on class, gender, sexuality, religion, and other identities that comprise and intersect with APA communities. Students explore APA art, health, communication, and politics, as well as their legacy of struggle and ongoing contributions to American culture and democracy.
The program also administers internships and requires service-learning courses that will provide access to numerous Asian Pacific American organizations in the region.
