Meet James Zarsadiaz, USF's first Asian American historian and newest EMDF fellow turned faculty.
The Minor in Asian Pacific American American Studies prepares students to work with an increasingly global and diverse society. Our program emphasize critical thinking and writing, along with civic engagement, community outreach, and leadership and development.
Our curriculum is designed to broaden perspectives on class, gender, sexual, religious, and other differences that comprise and intersect with APA communities. Students explore APA identities, art, health, communication, politics, and AAPI Americans’ legacy of struggle and ongoing contributions to American culture and democracy.

The program also administers internships and requires service-learning courses that will provide access to numerous Asian Pacific American organizations in the region.
