In the heart of the city that invents tomorrow, learn to acquire, explore, and manage the data that’s changing the world. An estimated shortage of 140,000 to 190,000 data analysts in the U.S. has created a boom for those with the skills to shape the industry. Come to USF and create the future through innovation.

There’s no better place to acquire the skills for an evolving industry than at the center of its transformation. In our program that leverages the Bay Area’s technology culture, you’ll learn to predict consumer behavior, extract information from medical images, uncover hidden stock market indicators, explore human genetic structure, and more.

There are a lot of good programs that help prepare you for data science jobs, but few put you on a path to become that unicorn who's competent in statistics, mathematics, and computer science."

Join the Data Science Association

The Data Science Association creates a social and academic environment for data science, mathematics, computer science, psychology, and economics majors at USF. Students organize data-driven visualization, software development, and research projects, and take part in local data challenges and hack nights. Students have also volunteered to teach coding to high schoolers around the San Francisco Bay Area.
