Deepika Goyal

Dr. Deepika Goyal is a nurse educator, researcher, and clinician who brings 16 years of experience with her to USFCA. She teaches courses in the Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master’s nursing programs, helping to prepare the next generation of family nurse practitioners. Dr. Goyal’s research focuses on maternal mental health among Asian American women, which is reflected in her publications over the past 18 years. Dr. Goyal’s research was among the first to highlight maternal mental health issues among Asian American women in the United States.

Professionally, she is a family nurse practitioner and maintains a clinical practice at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in the OB/GYN department. In the community, she travels to Kenya to provide continuing education for nurses and to provide healthcare for women and children in a rural village. She is also a member of the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium’s Nurse-Led Vaccine Confidence Advisory Committee, that raises awareness to the barriers around equitable vaccine education.
