The Simulation Center gives students the opportunity to use a hands-on approach to patient care and treatment within a sophisticated, simulated clinical environment.

In the Simulation Center, nursing students interact with state-of-the- art mannequins that simulate symptoms and conditions specific to real-life patients and scenarios. The Simulation Center houses an entire family of mannequins including adults, pediatrics and obstetrics.

  • Students have the opportunity to care for various patients throughout the simulation curriculum.
  • Examples of scenarios include caring for patients with sepsis, stroke, hemorrhage, or cancer.
  • Students also engage with other disciplines to enhance communication and team building skills.

For more information about visiting the Simulation Center, please contact Genevieve Charbonneau, Director of Clinical Labs in the School of Nursing and Health Professions (San Francisco main campus) at (415) 422-4278 or gdcharbonneau@usfca.edu.
