Meet Your Instructor
Yannet Interian is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, where she served as a core faculty member for the Master in Data Science program from 2013 to 2025. A former Data Scientist at Google, Yannet also co-founded Akualab, a venture dedicated to developing innovative machine-intelligence products. Her teaching philosophy centers on the practical application of deep learning using PyTorch, with a steadfast focus on solving complex, real-world problems.
Course Information
Format: This is a 7-week online program, held one day per week. The instructor-led sessions are conducted live via Zoom
Time Commitment: Expect 5-7 hours per week, including live sessions (3 hours), assignments, and projects.
Recordings: Participants will have access to recorded sessions and resources.
Schedule: Thursdays, 9am to 12pm Pacific, April 16 - May 28, 2026
Prerequisites: Previous experience programming in Python and some machine learning background is advised to make best use of the course.
