Biography
Krystie Matthews has almost a decade of experience in various settings as a licensed nurse, director of nursing, and educator. Dr. Matthews is a clinical nurse leader (CNL) at the VA currently, performs community visits for people healing at home, and is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco in the SONHP. Her area of interests are toxic workplace mitigation in nursing and empowering various nursing settings to improve workplace culture by utilizing a nursing incivility scale, adopting a toolkit, and implementing zero tolerance policies for instances of incivility. She is committed to the development of strong graduating nurses, that will bring excitement and fresh perspectives to healthy nursing environments. She comes to nursing with many other soft skills from a decade in management for major big box retailers. On a personal note, she is married, and has an almost 3 year old Dalmatian.
