Research Grant Awarded to Giovanni Meloni

by Hannah Sarco

Giovanni Meloni

Giovanni Meloni, associate professor and Von Soosten Chair of Chemistry, recently received a research grant awarded by the American Chemical Society's (ACS) Petroleum Research Fund. He and his students will continue to expand their investigation of the photoionization behavior of species relevant to combustion chemistry.
This new project will provide his undergraduate and graduate students practical access to research in physical chemistry, as well as exposure to world-class research facilities at Berkeley National Lab and at the Swiss Light Source in Switzerland. The three year grant is for $70,000 and is Dr. Meloni's second award from ACS.
