The Center for Business Studies and Innovation in Asia-Pacific at the University of San Francisco Welcomes Ambassador Chantale Wong, U.S. Director of the Asian Development Bank, on September 18
SAN FRANCISCO (September 6, 2023) – The University of San Francisco’s Center for Business Studies and Innovation in Asia-Pacific (CBSI) is pleased to announce that Ambassador Chantale Wong, U.S. Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will speak on the topic of ‘Investment and Career Opportunities in Asia’ at the university on Monday, September 18th from 4:15-5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and registration is required.
Ambassador Wong’s talk will be targeted towards those wanting to know more about the vital work of the Asian Development Bank and related socially responsible business and investment opportunities in Asia.
Also speaking will be Danica Starks, Senior U.S. Commercial Liaison and Advisor to the U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank/Head of Multilateral Development Bank Group at the Department of Commerce, and F. Cleo Kawawaki, Head of ADB's Office of Public-Private Partnership. The event will be moderated by Dr. Suparna Chakraborty, USF professor of economics.

Ambassador Wong has had a long and distinguished career in public service, having served under Presidents Clinton, Obama and Biden. She is the first openly lesbian Senate-confirmed ambassador in U.S. history.
