Biography

Dr. Wei Gordon is interested in genomics, biotechnology, and undergraduate and graduate education. Her graduate research investigated the genetic factors underlying the evolution of mammalian frugivory, the dietary specialization of fruit, particularly in bats. While she continues this research, she also started education research on improving academic success and interest in biology and biotechnology amongst non-science majors. At USF, Dr. Gordon plans to continue creating and iterating biology and biotech classes and encouraging undergraduates towards graduate studies.
