Biography
Dr. Thi Tran is currently completing his postdoctoral residency as a Pain Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. He was trained under the scientist-practitioner model with a focus on contextual behavioral science. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. His clinical and academic background has focussed on brief interventions, acceptance and commitment therapy, sleep, and psychological aspects of sports injury. He integrates the biopsychosocial model with mindful attention to context, promoting holistic wellness across diverse populations and settings. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys playing basketball and soccer, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends, his partner, and their pets!
