Ricky DeSantis

Ricky DeSantis received his PhD in philosophy from Fordham University in 2026. His research draws on a range of sources from post-Kantian European philosophy (particularly German Idealism, psychoanalysis, and critical theory) with an emphasis on the ways in which these traditions can be placed in dialogue with the psy-disciplines. He is currently working on a project concerning the role of teleology in Freud’s writing, and is in the early stages of a new project examining the philosophical underpinnings of the concept of “stress” and its relevance for critical theory.
