Remy Beauregarda

Professor Beauregard is an experimental economist who investigates how non-monetary aspects of work, such as meaning, stigma, and signaling, shape labor supply, productivity, and worker well-being. Using a combination of laboratory and field experiments, he brings rigorous empirical evidence to theoretical and policy questions at the intersection of behavioral and development economics. His current field projects examine graduate underemployment in Ghana and labor market outcomes among Venezuelan migrants in Brazil. Remy teaches courses in introductory economics, development economics, behavioral economics, and experimental economics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Before joining USF, Remy served as associate instructor of econometrics and undergraduate research mentor at UC Davis. He also supported research and policy work in international finance, development, and macroeconomics as an RA at the San Francisco Fed. Outside of economics, Remy enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and camping.
