Lisa Biesemeyer has been teaching college English rhetoric and composition since 2001. She holds a BA in Creative Studies Literature from University of California at Santa Barbara, an MA in Literature from San Francisco State University, an MS in Education from Capella University, and TESOL certification. Lisa began teaching Rhetoric and Language courses at University of San Francisco in 2003. In 2005, she worked with the Rhetoric and Language and Psychology Departments to create and implement the first course to focus specifically on teaching American Psychological Association (APA) style writing to USF Psychology majors, Writing in Psychology. Since then, Lisa has taught Writing in Psychology to hundreds of USF Psychology majors, guiding them toward writing APA style papers to help prepare them for writing in their discipline. In addition to being a university lecturer, Lisa is the mother of three happy, spirited children, a community organizer, and a life-long learner.
