Biography

Julia Gallo is a registered nurse on the Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant outpatient unit at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and a nursing clinical instructor and pediatrics professor at the University of San Francisco. Julia’s passion lies in helping others, whether supporting patients and their families through challenging experiences or guiding nursing students as they develop into confident healthcare professionals. She feels honored to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through her roles as a nurse and educator.

Her passion for healthcare began with a love of science at a young age and was further inspired by witnessing the care her younger sister received during numerous hospitalizations. The nurses who supported her sister and family left a lasting impact, inspiring Julia to pursue a career in pediatric nursing and provide that same level of compassion, support, and advocacy to others.
