Fundamentals of Deep Learning

Our Fundamentals of Deep Learning certificate will expand your knowledge of deep learning—the state-of-the-art machine learning technique in areas such as object recognition, image segmentation, speech recognition and machine translation.

You will learn the practical details of deep learning applications with hands-on model building and work on problems ranging from computer vision, natural language processing, and recommendation systems.

Previous experience programming in Python and some machine learning background is advised to make best use of the course.

Fundamentals of Deep Learning is taught by Yannet Interian, Practicum Supervisor and Assistant Professor for USF's Master of Science in Data Science program. Prior to joining USF, Professor Interian worked as a Data Scientist at Google and co-founded Akualab, a start-up focused on helping organizations develop data-driven products using machine intelligence.
