The Social Impact Analytics academic certificate offers asynchronous lectures combined with weekly coding exercises and tutorial meetings between an instructor and five to seven students. This fully online 12-unit certificate equips those in the U.S. and abroad who have minimal statistics and programming exposure with leading analytical tools to assess social impact. The program is offered through a partnership between USF and the University of Notre Dame.

This academic certificate offers 12  transferable units to USF's MS in Applied Economics program. International students will be granted transferable units if they can secure the necessary student visa to attend USF for a single academic year.

Who May Benefit From This Program

This certificate is well-suited for people working domestically and overseas with non-profit organizations as well as current undergraduate and graduate students. It offers the opportunity to gain statistical, analytical, and programming skills to measure social impact, complementing work or study in economics, psychology, sociology, political science, business, international studies, kinesiology, public health, and related fields.

Curriculum

The program will consist of six 2-credit courses starting in January (spring semester) that will sequence through the summer and culminate in December at the end of the fall semester. These six courses build upon one another in sequence.

Tuition

  • $19,380 base tuition for 12 units graduate credit in the program
  • $13,300 for U.S. students and students in other high-income countries enrolling through their non-profit employer
  • $8,300 for students from low and middle-income countries enrolling through their non-profit employer.

Limited scholarship funding is available.
