Biography

Lynn C. Perkins has been teaching public speaking and English as a Second Language at USF since 1990, minus one year spent training English teachers in Sweden when she was selected to be an English Teaching Fellow. Midway through her USF teaching career, she decided to become a registered nurse. Her distinctive academic and professional experiences in communications and nursing integrate well into USF’s social justice mission and allow her a unique perspective on teaching diverse learners about diverse topics.
