Biography

Jeffrey Lee studied various forms of martial arts in his youth attaining mastery levels in later years. He has progressed to incorporate and apply his earlier disciplined and physical trainings to dance forms in Ballroom and Latin. Professor Lee has performed in various venues, taught and coached students of varying age groups, cultural backgrounds, and experience levels. His deep love for music, dance, connection and the importance of musicality imparts passion and sheer joy in those he works with. In his collaboration with other artists and interaction with students, he has developed a joy and enthusiasm in teaching especially to beginning students. His outlook on dance is that it should be fun and an essential social skill set for life. Prof. Lee believes dance is empowering and builds confidence, character, strong mental and spiritual awareness aside from just keeping one physically healthy. He is patient and committed in his teaching the “joy of dance.” He regularly participates in fundraiser performances and in the Bay Area Ballroom and Latin dance community events to staying abreast of current happenings.
