Benefits of Involvement:

My involvement at USF has made my college experience incredibly rewarding. I have developed close relationships with administrators and created networks of professional for my post-graduation career. I also have the personal pride in knowing that I have created a sustainable and exciting new structure at USFtv that will go on to shape television production at USF after I graduate. Lastly, my involvement in improv has connected with me performers across the Bay Area and provided me with a group of friends who I will maintain well after I leave USF.

A leader at USF is someone who is more committed to a particular issue than anyone else. For me, being a leader has meant incredible investment in things that I feel passionate about and recruitment of people who share my interests and values. A large part of leadership is motivating the people around you, even when it's difficult or seems futile-- You just have to keep pushing.

Advice to First Year Students:

Students should get involved on the first day of freshman year. There is no excuse not to. If you are passionate, there is someone at USF who shares your passion. You should never be afraid to assert yourself within a pre-existing organization. Never expect opportunities to be handed to you. Work for everything that you want and, if you work hard enough, you will attain it.

Favorite Place in City: Bottom of the Hill (the venue) and the greater Mission/Potrero Hill area

Random Fact:  I'm obsessed with the West Wing. To the point that I own the complete series and follow all of the characters on twitter. And tweet at them.
