Service and Merit Awards Ceremony

The 36th Annual Service and Merit Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 8, in the McLaren Complex, beginning at 3:30 pm.

Please come to support your colleagues who are achieving service milestones or retiring from the University. At this event, we will also announce the recipients of this year’s faculty and staff merit awards, given by the Provost’s Office, CIT and Human Resources.

Make plans to celebrate with our deserving service honorees and award recipients at the reception, immediately following the ceremony.

Go USF Race Challenge

The Presidio 10 event on Sunday, April 15th was a success! At 120 registered participants,  had a huge presence at the event and the GoUSF tent was very popular. Thank you to our runners, walkers and volunteers for making this event a success! You can check out race photos on our Facebook page.

Congratulations to the individuals that completed the 2011-2012  Race Challenge! Each received a bag and visor for running at least 3 of the 4 GoUSF events. The visors are also available to purchase for $20 on our website.

Now that the 2011-2012 Race Challenge has concluded, GoUSF training and events will be on hiatus.  Check ourwebsite for more information this summer. In the meantime, keep training! Use the training schedules and tips to prepare for your own upcoming races.

Eyes of Hope

Helping others see well is easy.
Eyes of Hope, VSP® Vision Care’s eyewear donation program, is an easy way you can help.

A gift of donated eyeglasses can change the lives of those in need. Seeing clearly for the first time means they can do basic things like succeed at school or work, and care for their families.

We need complete sets of eyewear, including prescription glasses, readers, and sunglasses—both plastic and metal frames are accepted. Cases can also be used if they are donated with the glasses inside.

Place the eyewear donation in the Eyes of Hope, VSP® Vision Care’s box. The donation boxes are located in the reception area of Human Resources, at Koret's front desk, in ITS (LMN 2nd floor) and ABS (LMN 3rd floor).

Create a Positive Mood with Office Plants

It’s spring, so why not freshen up your office or workspace with plants?  Plants reduce stress, and research shows that having these small symbols of work-life balance keeping you company can improve your mood and your productivity.

April is a busy month here at USF! Remember to come celebrate the hard work of faculty and staff next month at the Service and Merit Awards Ceremony.
