Get Fit USF! The Battle of the Buildings

Get ready for Healthy USF's spring fitness challenge, Get Fit USF! The Battle of the Buildings which will run April 1st – 30th. 

Join your building's Get Fit USF team and track the number of minutes you exercise to reach weekly goals. All teams that meet the weekly exercise goals (based on average minutes exercised) will be entered into weekly raffles for prizes.  Also, the individual that accumulates the most minutes of exercise and the team that averages the most exercise minutes at the end of the challenge will win a grand prize.

Go USF Spring Events

 It’s not too late to register for ’s  spring event – The Presidio 10 on April  15th. Registration deadline is March 31st.

Training Seminar - Thursday, March 29th at 5pm in McLaren 252! 

Come learn about getting the proper fit for your running and walking shoes at an after work presentation by On the Run. The Shoe Guru will discuss the importance of proper shoes, do shoe fittings and analyze your walking/running form. running coach, Suzy Kisylia, and walking coach, Joanne Boyer, will also be on hand to answer questions. Sports snacks and drinks will be served.

Stay Ahead of Cancer

Detecting cancer early increases the chances that treatment will be successful. Alongside preventive screenings like mammograms, a healthy lifestyle (eating right and exercising daily) can help lower your risk for some cancers. 

Here are some tips: 
  • Protect Your Skin: Wear sunscreen daily with an SPF of at least 15 to prevent skin cancer. 
  • Go green: Eat more vegetables to get more fiber that can help reduce your risk for colon cancer.
  • Celebrate smartly: Drink alcohol in moderation.

Our HRIS team is launching some exciting new initiatives this Summer: 

HR Security - We are working to activate enhanced Banner HR security features, which will allow us to provide better reporting to our users.

Etimesheet Simplification Project - We are working to implement a new protocol that will make Etimesheet set-up and approval easier for our users.  

Stay on the lookout for updates on these projects as they develop in the coming months.

Etimesheet Approval Change for Current Pay Period

Due to the Good Friday holiday, the Etimesheet submission and approval schedule is as follows:
  • Etimesheet submission deadline is Thursday 4/5/2012, 11:59 pm.
  • Etimesheet approval deadline is Monday, 4/9/2012, 2:00 p.m.
  • Departments that submit paper timesheets should submit these to the Payroll department by Monday, 4/9/2012, 2:00 p.m.

If you are an EPAF or Etimesheet approver, remember to set one of your coworkers up as your proxy approver so that you are covered in case of vacation or unexpected absence.
Verify Your Mailing Address

Please take a moment to verify your “Current” mailing address. You may access and update your “Current” mailing address information online through Employee Self Service. 

To view and update your mailing address: 
  1. Log into USFConnect and select the Employee Tab. 
  2. Click the "Click Here" button within the "Employee Self Service" box. 
  3. From the Employee Self Service Main Menu, click the "Personal Information" link followed by the "Addresses and Phones" Link. 
  4. Select the “Current” mailing address type.                             
  5. Enter updated address information
